Cody Powers
Videographer / Cinematographer / Asst. Casting Director
Cody Powers was born before texting and the Macarena. Always labeled as “Cody Two Shoes,” he was raised in Northeast Tennessee in a city where there's absolutely nothing to do unless you love to eat and shop at Walmart.
He grew up loving horror movies and Stone Cold Steve Austin! At the age of 5, he and his family made a parody of The Blair Witch Project, which spiraled him into an obsession of “found footage” films. He is a former dance instructor and radio station manager. He is currently a watcher of doughnuts, ordained minister, and photographer.
When not working, he is undoubtedly listening to music. He has big plans and dreams, one of those is to meet Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun of Twenty One Pilots! He chooses to spend his life spreading love and positive vibes to everyone around him.
Alecia Hickman
Visual/Special Effects Artist / Makeup Artist / Asst. Casting Director
Alecia is a self-taught special effects makeup artist from Church Hill, Tennessee. Having a passion for makeup most of her life, the glam soon turned into gore when she started her self-taught journey in 2017 at CartRay Productions in Weber City, Virginia. From creating cuts and bruises or bullet and knife wounds to a flesh-craving zombie, nothing thrills her more than making her creations come to life.
Kayla Gillenwater
Lighting / DP / Chief Editor
“There is something that satisfies the soul when you are able to look through a lens and capture something that will forever be a part of someone's life. A moment that shows a very important part of that person's life. Being able to see life in a whole other perspective and showing that to the world means everything to me and blessing.”
Tyler Fields
Music Composer
Tyler has worked with music for the past 15 years, both in individual and group productions. He lives in Gate City, Virginia and has 4 kids.
Dylan Jantz
Sound Engineer
This is Dylan Jantz’s first time working with sound in film, and he is proud to say he couldn't pick a better team to work with if he tried. He would like to thank his friends, family, and everyone who helped him learn along the way to this point.
Megan Johnson
Film / Visual Editor
My name is Megan Johnson. I’ve been editing since early 2012, starting with Windows Movie Maker, because I didn’t have the funds for a better software. I then, after about a year of only editing together images and short clips, upgraded to Sony Vegas 11 where I had a much wider variety of options than with WMM.
I got into editing AMV’s (anime music videos) and after a while, ended up starting a YouTube channel to share the content I created. I wasn’t very good; there were many flaws, but at the time, I thought they were decent and I was proud because I created something with a better program. After a year or two, I ended up purchasing Sony Vegas 12 Pro, which was even more advanced than my previous Sony Vegas 11.
I’ve mainly been using Sony Vegas 12 until as of present day and have learned many new ways to edit over the years. I still edit with anime most of the time, but I’ve also opened up to using TV dramas and movies. I do, however, have the program Adobe After Effects, which is a professional video editor.
I have played around with it in the past and more recently as of late. I hope to gradually improve my skills with After Effects, as well as other programs and hopefully land a career as a film editor in the near future.
